Monica is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She provides psychotherapy to teens, emerging adults, adults and families and offers a nurturing and warm environment where you will feel heard and safe.

Monica received her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with Marriage and Family Therapy Emphasis from Pepperdine University. She is Licensed in Illinois.

Monica has experience treating a wide range of individuals from diverse backgrounds who come to treatment with trauma, grief, self-harming behaviors, low self-esteem, gender dysphoria, depression and anxiety as well as parenting, relationship, workplace and family issues. She has also worked extensively with teens and young adults during critical and transitional points by empowering them to define their own identities and understanding of self.

Monica believes that the therapeutic process works best when the therapist meets the client “where they are” and allows space for a working alliance to develop organically instead of coming to the session with their own agenda and fixed perspective. She utilizes psychodynamic and family systems approaches. To learn more about Monica’s Therapy approach, check out her Psychology Today Profile.
