Emma Palmer, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who provides therapy for adolescents, young adults, and families both in-person in Chicago and across Illinois through secure online sessions. She specializes in helping clients navigate trauma, attachment and relational patterns, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and family-related stress.
Emma is known for her warm, down-to-earth, and nonjudgmental approach. She creates a supportive space where clients, especially teens and young adults, feel safe exploring their experiences, relationships, and sense of self. Her work helps clients understand how past experiences can shape current patterns and relationships while developing healthier ways of coping and connecting.
Emma integrates evidence-based practices, including trauma-focused CBT, relational therapy, psychodynamic concepts, mindfulness, and body-based awareness. Her goal is to help clients develop greater self-understanding, emotional regulation, and confidence as they navigate challenges and create meaningful change.
Emma earned her Master’s in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago, with a concentration in mental health. She has experience working with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds, including those impacted by intergenerational trauma, self-esteem issues, parenting stress, and identity development.
In addition to her clinical training, Emma is a certified yoga instructor and incorporates mindfulness, grounding techniques, and breathwork into sessions when appropriate. Her integrative, whole-person approach supports healing across mind, body, and spirit.
Emma offers therapy in our Lincoln Park, Chicago office and virtual therapy throughout Illinois and is passionate about empowering clients to reconnect with themselves, build resilience, and make meaning from their life experiences.
