Emma Palmer

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Emma is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, providing psychotherapy services to adolescents, young adults, and families. She offers a professional, nonjudgmental, inviting and warm space to her practice, utilizing evidence-based interventions to help clients overcome any obstacles he or she may be facing. She received her Master of Social Work at Loyola University Chicago, emphasis on mental health treatment.

Emma has experience treating a wide range of individuals from diverse backgrounds who come from histories of trauma, including intergenerational trauma and racism, difficult life transitions, self-esteem, depression, anxiety, as well as parenting and family-related stressors. She has worked extensively with adolescents into young adulthood with a focus of empowerment and healing to guide clients through whatever it may be that has brought them to therapy.

Emma believes taking a whole-person integrative approach to the therapeutic process, with a focus on mind, body, and spiritual connection, allows clients to take into account and care for each part of themselves. She trusts the process, as it can look different for everyone. Creating a safe space to allow for things to come up naturally is important in this work, as she believes understanding how our behavior and feelings as adults may be related to all sorts of life experiences. By inviting her clients to share their stories, it allows for the healing process to begin.
